08.06.2010.

JKP ‘Parking Servis’ in association with City Hall, Traffic Department and Traffic Police has organized an event to mark the end of the school term as well as completion of the campaign ‘Pupils ask you – slow down by the school’.

JKP ‘Parking Servis’ has used this opportunity to express its gratitude to Belgrade mayor Dragan Djilas, traffic and education services officials, Traffic Police representatives, media and to everybody else who offered their help to the campaign ‘Pupils ask you – slow down by the school’.

The first grade pupils of many Belgrade schools were the special guests of the event. Representatives of ‘Parking Servis’ and Traffic Police were accompanied by the children choir who sang a well known song ‘Take care of our pupils’.

JKP ‘Parking Servis’ has organized the campaign ‘Pupils ask you – slow down by the school’ for three years in a row now. The aim of the campaign is that first grade pupils of all Belgrade constituencies learn the basic rules of behaviour in traffic as well as raising awareness of importance of children’s safety in traffic.

Every year, JKP ‘Parking Servis’ gives away fluorescent high visibility vests to the first graders so as to be clearly visible to the drivers when they are on their way to school. Since the beginning of this school term about 15 000 pupils have receive such vests. By the end of the school term the vests will be given to pupils from a few more schools in Belgrade.
