Belgrade gets "Fast park" at Slavija

Fast park SlavijaPublic enterprise ‘Parking Servis’ has opened today ‘Fast Park’ at Slavija.

By adding another level for parking, the capacity of ‘Slavija II’ car park has increased by 64 parking places, which means that drivers now have 130 parking places at their disposal. Together with ‘Slavija I’ car park the number of available parking places amounts to 216.

In cooperation with ‘Parking Servis’ the experts from Italy have improved the parking system with columns, which has been used in Belgrade for the first time. This system enables drivers to manoeuvre more easily in the garage, which will make parking a car more efficient.

Fast park SlavijaBy installing modern equipment for payment which collects the money before exit from the car park the flow of traffic will be increased. In addition, by increasing the number of entrances and exits at the car parks ‘Slavija 1’ and ‘Slavija 2’ the vehicles will spend minimum time at the ramps and this will decrease the traffic jams in the neighbouring streets. ‘Fast Park’ is a pre-fabricated object and it has a possibility of being dismantled and assembled again at some other location as it was the case with ‘Fast Park’ ‘Tri lista duvana’, which was re-assembled in Karadjordjeva street and ‘Fast Park’ in Rajiceva street which was moved to Kamenicka street.

These are the locations with ‘Fast Parks’:

  • "Ada Ciganlija" -  the biggest ‘Fast Park’ in Europe with 1 669 parking places
  • "Viska" -  95 parking places
  • "Kamenicka" -  95 parking places.
  • "Sumadijska" -  79 parking places.
  • "Karadjordjeva" -  62 parking places.
  • "Politika" -  53 parking places.
  • "Simpo" – 132 parking places.

Fast park SlavijaInstalment of ‘Fast Park’ at Slavija began a month and a half ago, which means that the period from signing the contract to finalizing the project does not exceed 45 days.

‘Fast Park’ is the most rational usage of the existing parking space and it is also the fastest and the most efficient solution to the problem of lack of parking places in Belgrade.
